Summer learning Journey Day 2: House Or A Home?

  1. Kia Ora Tara,

Nice work for jumping in to the Summer Learning Journey programme. You've literally launched yourself off! I'm really impressed by all of your posts so far, your presentation is sensational. I like how you compare several differences between a Wharepuni and your own whare.

Your punctuation is amazing for someone your age— well done. Maybe next time you can try and apply what's called a 'semicolon', it looks like this " ; "
A semicolon helps join two independent clauses. For example: "The Wharepuni is a small place, unlike my home; it's a big place".

My whare is in Adelaide, in Australia, and it's huge! We've got 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Like your whare, mine too is made of brick. Because Australia is so hot (it can reach up to 45 degrees celsius during summer) they have massive awnings that block out the sun; this helps to keep the house cool.
It's not so great for winter though.

Myself and Cadence are taking a short break for our own summer holidays— but don't worry! We have a team of bloggers that are going to be responding to your posts. I'll be back on on the 29th & 30th so you can count on me to be replying to every single one of your blog posts then.
You're doing a marvellous job, Tara. Definitely keep up the blogging!

Have a happy Christmas and I'll talk to you on the 29th :)

    Cheers,

    Jordan
