I love the poem Flanders Fields. John McCrae did a really great job writing it! It makes me feel a bit sad for those who died in the war. My favourite sentence in the poem is 'We lived; felt dawn, saw sunset glow.' I can imagine the whole poem like a movie scene in motion. It's sad knowing that lots of people died, if I was related to one and I heard the died, I would be really sad.
The end.
Hey Tara,
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling us what you thought about John McCrae's poem, "In Flanders Fields".
I like how you quote a piece of the poetry and spend time reflecting on it, it goes to show that you've really put a lot of thought in to someone else's piece of art.
I agree with you, the poem is incredibly sad and brings to the surface the deep melancholic feeling of loss and responsibility.
I don't have any family members who went off to fight in the war, and I'm so glad that this is the case because it too would make me incredibly sad to hear whether or not they died.
How would you feel if there was a WWIII? I would be shaking in my boots because now it's compulsory not only for men to go to war, but for women too!
Don't forget to make your blog posts pop by complimenting your writing with pictures! This helps to make your wonderful blog page aesthetically pleasing to the eye :)
Keep up the great work Tara.
Cheers,
Jordan
Kia Ora Jordan,
DeleteI would hate a WW|||! I would be scared to death. And maybe my family members would go! I would be sad for them to just go. I also feel the same, I would be really sad whether or not they died. I'll compliment my writing with pictures next time.
Can't wait for more,
Tara
